July 6, 2005
For Immediate Release
LEONARDTOWN, MD – Home Builders, Inc., of Leonardtown recently received an Award of Merit for its Montpelier home at the 28th Annual MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) for sales and marketing professionals from the Washington metro area. The Montpelier model home competed in the category of “Best Interior Merchandising for a Detached Home.”
MAME Awards are given to the salespersons, interior design specialists, advertising agencies, and other professionals who drive the area’s new homes market.
The awards are sponsored by the Washington Metropolitan Sales & Marketing Council, which includes members of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association and the Maryland-National Capital Building Industry Association. Volunteers from both associations work throughout the year to judge the entries in categories from Best Interior Merchandising to Best Model Landscaping, and from Best Special Promotion to Best Design/Selection Center.
“This was a great year – another great year – for the market, as we grow into West Virginia and the Eastern Shore in addition to our traditional metro region,” says Jack Shoptaw of Hammer Communications, who chaired this year’s MAME awards program. “MAME winners really are the best of the best, and having almost 2,000 builders, developers, advertisers and others in the industry at this event shows how MAME has grown,” he adds.
This year the judges had their hands full with more than 900 entries from sales professionals representing more than 100 communities in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland, the District of Columbia and the Eastern Shore.
“It is an incredible honor to be recognized for what Home Builders, Inc. is really about,” says Lynn Smithburger, sales and marketing manager, Home Builders, Inc. “HBI builds homes with the highest level of quality and craftsmanship. We know that’s why we have become the builder of choice in southern Maryland, but it’s always great to get that acknowledgment,” she adds.
The fully furnished Montpelier model is part of the Hidden Trails at Park Pines community and is open to the public every Friday through Monday. To visit the Montpelier model, take Route 235 south past Elms Beach Road and Park Pines Drive. The model is on the right.
